Buenos Aires Police Detain Four During Football Match

Buenos Aires, March 1 (NA) -- The City Police detained four men with outstanding arrest warrants for robbery and fraud during a security operation deployed for the Boca Juniors-Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza match. Additionally, 184 contravention reports were filed, and eight individuals were processed. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the first detention occurred when, during the identification check of a man through the Comprehensive Public Security System (SISEP), it was found that he had an active arrest warrant for a robbery that occurred on February 20, 2025, in the municipality of Quilmes. In this situation, he was denied entry, his formal identification was carried out, and after consulting with the requesting magistrate, his arrest was ordered, with the intervention of the Guarantees Court No. 1 of Quilmes, presided over by Judge Juan José Anglese. The other three detentions were made at the access points, when the identification data of three men were verified using the 'Tribuna Segura' team's phones, and it was detected that they had active arrest warrants for fraud in La Pampa, with a date of February 26, 2026. The three were denied entry, formally identified, and their arrest was ordered, with the intervention of the Control Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit of La Pampa. Regarding the infractions, 163 reports were filed for 'entering without a ticket, authorization and/or invitation', as it was found that various people did not have the necessary documentation upon arrival at the access control line. In addition, 20 reports were made for 'right of admission'. Four individuals were also processed for 'forgery of a public or private document', after membership cards with stickers with the registration of the accused were detected to simulate the status of members, and when part of the sticker was removed, it was verified that the original card was in the name of a third party. On the other hand, 66 reports were filed for 'providing parking, car care or window cleaning services without legal authorization'.
